Information For Parents: Services

My aim is to provide a warm, caring and friendly setting for children to grow and

develop safely, and to feel valued and respected. I aim to work with

you to provide the best possible care for your child. â€‹

How much do you charge?
My daily rate £35  from 8am—6pm or £4 per hour (paid weekly or monthly in advance).

More information is available on the Fees page.

Are meals and snacks included?
I will offer healthy snacks and drinks during the day; however I can also provide 3 nutritious meals for an extra £2.00 a day. I hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety Certificate, and all allergies and intolerances can be catered for. You are welcome to provide your child with meals from home. Please bring your own supply of milk powder and bottles for your baby. I will also be

able to sterilise your bottles and any other feeding equipment your child uses.

Please see Nutrition Policy 1 and Nutrition Policy 2 for more information.

What about nappies, wipes etc?
Please bring nappies, wipes, creams, sunscreen and a change of clothes for your child in a labelled bag. Please also provide outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather - hats

and gloves for winter, sun hat for summer, etc. Do ensure your child

has appropriate footwear for outings/walks.

Can you do school drop off and pick ups?
I can do drop-offs and pick-ups to the local nurseries/schools.

Can I come to visit you to help me decide whether to use your service?

Of course you can! It is important for you to see how your child and I interact. Please feel free to note down anything you wish to ask me and bring this along to our first visit. If you think of

further questions after your visit, you are more than welcome to phone or email me.

Do I need to sign a contract?
Once I have met you and your child, and you have decided that you would like me to take

care of your son or daughter, I will require you to sign a contract which is

legally binding and will protect both parties.

What information will you keep about me and my child?
I will record and keep information about your child such as full name, date of birth, address, doctor's surgery, emergency contacts, routines, likes and dislikes, allergies, hours of care, fees, etc. This information is stored safely and securely in accordance to GDPR. You will always

be able to have access to this information about your own child upon request.

How do you help my child settle in?
Some children find new situations easy and some find it more of a challenge, I will work with you and your child to find the best way to help them settle, and feel happy enough for you to leave them with me. This can involve you staying for a short period over a few sessions, or your child may be happy to be left straight away. All children are different and I will use my experience to ensure that your child is comforted and made to feel secure while they are in my care.

What other information do I need to know?

Home activities include craft, messy play, age appropriate games, soft play and early

years education, with opportunities to plant and grow food in the veg

garden and animal care (Tortoises!).

providing a large space for play and learning.

I am located close to an outdoor play park, and regular visits take place -weather permitting.
